Scope
During my time at The Wall Street Journal, I helped produce an executive conference for Hitachi Vantara centered on the foundational role of clean, well-governed data in powering generative AI. The event was designed for a C-suite audience across finance, cybersecurity, and communications, with a focus on navigating both the opportunities and the risks emerging in the AI landscape.
Process
Working with WSJ’s editorial and events teams, I shaped the program architecture, aligning the day’s content with the core narrative: AI’s potential only becomes scalable when an organization’s data infrastructure is disciplined, accurate, and adaptable. We developed conversation flows, speaker prompts, and session framing that helped executives understand not just what AI can do, but what it requires behind the scenes.
I also coordinated talent outreach, inviting a curated mix of industry voices whose expertise spanned enterprise AI deployment, risk management, data hygiene, and emerging tech strategy. The goal was to build a dialogue that felt practical and informed.
Solution
The final summit delivered a tight, high-value experience for senior decision makers. Our panel of AI leaders, from major tech firms to global financial institutions, offered grounded insight into how data architecture shapes real-world AI outcomes. The conversations cut through hype, focusing instead on operational readiness, cybersecurity implications, and the cultural shifts required to implement AI responsibly.
